If one of the spouses is a foreign national is well aware that some elements regarding the wedding in Italy.

Preliminary information for foreign nationals

Italian law provides for the rites: calendar, celebrated by an official civil concordatario by a minister of Catholic worship.

For each ritual is necessary documents to be submitted at the offices of the municipality. The certificates valid for the civil ceremony is required in all cases.

Procedures for marriage for foreign nationals

In addition to the procedures required for Italian citizens, if you are foreign citizens (or at least it is one of the two of you) have to meet certain formality.

An application for marriage must be performed at the wedding of your town of residence. Then you have to take the oath for the appointment, which takes place before an official status and two adult witnesses. After the oath, will be posted for eight days publications at your local authority and set the exact date of the wedding.
