Wedding: why

"... I accept you as my / or wife / o. I promise you are always faithful, in joy and in sorrow, in health and disease, and to love and honor all the days of my life"

What are the reasons that lead many couples to say these beautiful words in front of an audience commossa relatives and friends? What is pushing to get married, in a society that now also accepts coexistence as choice of two people who love?
The word "marriage", according to a widespread vision, comes from the Latin munus marriage, "the task of the mother", or even Mother munere, "protect the mother." The etymology indicate a direct relationship between the covenant of love of two (man and woman in original) and the task of parenthood that it springs. In any case, the use of the term with reference to union wedding was developed with the Roman law which gave recognition to the body and complex situations of social capital linked to matrimonium.
Marriage, despite the profound changes that have been in social life, leading to abandonment of many conventions and traditions, still maintains its strength and its charm.
Why?
The most obvious answer would be: "Why we love !"... but not only ...
Like few other events of our lives, marriage is a sacred rite, whose profound symbolic significance goes beyond reason and in which, despite everything, we have not stopped believing.
The marriage has become aware and accept aloud the rules, say aloud the fateful yes, take unequivocal commitment to spend the rest of their lives next to the person loved in the face of people who held more: the Faced then to the whole society. And to do this you must have acquired a great sense of responsibility and awareness.
The Italian constitution states, with the Article 29 that "The Republic recognizes the rights of the family as a natural society founded on marriage ..."
Marriage is thus the decision to start a family, and the family is and remains the only fixed point in a world where so many lost values, it is hard to find others who replace them.
